Somerville Police Respond to Attempted Robbery

21046338: On 9/4/21 at approximately 2:30 PM, Somerville Police responded to the area of Central St & Vernon St for report of an attempted larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a female victim who stated that while she was walking on Central St, a teenaged white male came up running behind her and snatched her purse. The male suspect then tripped and fell and the victim was able to retrieve her purse back. A witness reported seeing the male suspect enter a white vehicle.
