Crime Log October 29 to November 4, 2024

Armed Robbery

24068293: On 10/31/24 at approximately 10:33 PM, Somerville Police responded to Somerville Ave for report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated het met up with a male party on Woodstock St to sell some sneakers. When the male party arrived, he pulled out a gun and stole the victims sneakers.

Assault

24067964: On 10/30/24 at approximately 2:46 PM, Somerville Police responded to the East Somerville Community School for a weapons call. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated a juvenile male was shooting people on the soccer field with a BB gun.

Assault

24068911: On 11/3/24 at approximately 9:04 PM, Somerville Police were flagged down by a male party on Broadway who stated he was dropping off his daughter and was approached by a male party who began to fight him. Officers identified the suspect.

Residential Breaking & Entering

24068423: On 11/1/24 at approximately 12:20 PM, Somerville Police took a report regarding a past breaking and entering at a multifamily complex on Bow St. The victim who stated his bike was stolen from the building common area.  

Assault

24068755: On 11/3/24 at approximately 12:13 AM, Somerville Police were flagged down by a male party on Walnut St who stated he was walking home and was attacked by three young males. The victim suffered injuries to his face.

Arrest

24068560: On 11/2/24 at approximately 12:30 AM, Somerville Police responded to Sunset Rd for a weapons call. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a group of Tufts students who stated they were standing outside and were approached by a male party holding a machete. The suspect then slammed the machete on the ground in front of them. Officers located the suspect and he was placed under arrest.
