Crime Log April 23 to April 29, 2024

Assault

24024168: On 4/29/24 at approximately 12:30 AM, Somerville Police responded to a business on Sanborn Ct for report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers observed the victim suffering from an injury to his eye. He stated that he was inside the business and got into an argument with a male party. During the argument, the male party punched him in the face. Officers identified the male suspect.

Crime Log April 16 to April 22, 2024

Assault

24021420: On 4/16/24 at approximately 6:01 PM, Somerville Police responded to Assembly Row for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he began talking with a group of young males and one of them brandished a knife at him.

Information Needed: Shooting

On Friday, 4/12/24 at approximately 6:31 PM, Somerville Police responded to Alston St for reports of shots fired and a vehicle crash. Upon arrival officers located a juvenile suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound who was then transported to the hospital. Nearby, officers located an unoccupied vehicle that was flipped over and a firearm was recovered. Preliminary investigation indicates that occupants of the vehicle were shooting at a group of pedestrians before crashing and then fleeing the scene. A nearby residence sustained ballistic damage from stray bullets but there were no other injuries.

Crime Log April 9 to April 15, 2024

Commercial Breaking & Entering

24020873: On 4/14/24 at approximately 9:18 PM, Somerville Police responded to a business in Union Sq for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers observed damage to the back of the store and the alarm disabled. An ATM machine inside was sawed open and the cash was stolen. Additionally, cash was stolen from two registers as well numerous cartons of cigarettes.
