Armed Robbery 

On Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at approx. 7:30PM, the SPD responded to Aggies Market located at 69 Pearl St for a reported armed robbery with a gun.  The suspect depicted below entered the store when no other customers were present and pointed a black, semi-automatic handgun at the clerk and demanded money.  The suspect was described as a black man, late teens or early twenties, wearing a covid-style black mask, black hooded sweatshirt (hood up), gray sweat pants and black and white sneakers. 

The suspect stole cash from the victim and no injuries were reported.  The suspect fled on foot down Franklin Street towards Webster St.  Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Somerville Police Department at 617.625.1600 ext.7235 or you may leave an anonymous tip via the Somerville PD App on iOS or Android devices.

Armed Robbery 

On Friday, February 25, 2022, at approximately 5:55 PM, the SPD responded to Walgreens located at 14 McGrath Highway for a reported armed robbery.  Police learned a suspect, described as a black man entered the store, looked as though he was shopping and approached the check-out counter with an item.  He handed the clerk cash then pulled out a black hand gun and placed it on the counter while demanding all the money from the clerk.  The suspect exits the store where he enters a black pickup truck and drives north on McGrath Highway (Rt 28).  Anyone with information about this incident or the identity of subject depicted is urged to call the Somerville Police Department at 617.625.1600 ext. 7235 or you may leave an anonymous tip via the Somerville PD App on iOS or Andoid.

Gun & Drug Seizure

On March 22, 2022, at approx. 1:09 PM, the SPD responded to an apartment at Canal St for a reported assault.  After a preliminary investigation police obtained a search warrant for an apartment at Canal St. A search warrant was granted and as a result the Somerville Police recovered a 9mm firearm with ammunition (gun was reported stolen from North Carolina), 1.45lbs of marijuana (plant), 1074 grams of THC butter, 2344 grams of THC concentrate, & numerous digital scales.  The estimated street value of the combined THC products is approximately $170,000.00.

Gun Seizure

On Friday, March 25th, 2022, the SPD arrested a 40 years old Charlestown man, Stephen Harley, on an arrest warrant.  The arrest occurred at 32 Kent St, and subsequent to Harley’s arrest police executed a search warrant at 32 Kent Street for unlawfully possessed firearms.  Police recovered 6 firearms including assorted handguns and an AR15 handgun designed to be easily concealed while being able to fire rifle rounds.  Police recovered almost one pound of marijuana, digital scales, large capacity feeding devices and a large amount of assorted ammunition.

Arrest

22013773: On 3/15/22 at approximately 10:24 PM, Somerville Police responded to Canal Ln for a report of individual’s threatening people with a gun and slashing car tires. Upon arrival, officers arrested two male juveniles after it was determined they threatened the victim with a BB gun then slashed the tire on his vehicle.
