Crime Log January 30 to February 12, 2024

Residential Breaking and Entering

24007086: On 2/7/24 at approximately 5:39 PM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Michigan Ave for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated the residence was being used as an Airbnb and she heard noises coming from the garage. Officers conducted a walkthrough of the garage and did not locate anyone but found a backpack and sweatshirt left behind.

Crime Log January 23 to January 29, 2024

Residential Breaking and Entering

24004059: On 1/23/24 at approximately 11:43 AM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Walnut St for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated the residence is vacant and when he checked on it, he noticed a window broken and numerous clothes left behind inside. Nothing was reported missing.

Crime Log January 16 to January 22, 2024

Assault

24003031: On 1/17/24 at approximately 8:24 PM, Somerville Police responded to Somerville Ave for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officer spoke with the victim who stated he and his girlfriend were riding their bikes then got into an altercation with the occupants of a vehicle attempting to pass them. During the altercation, two females exited the vehicle and one of them struck the victim in the head.

Commercial Breaking and Entering

24001998: On 1/11/24 at approximately 5:08 PM, Somerville Police responded to a property on Walnut St for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated he came to close the property and noticed a glass door was broken and the alarm was triggered. Nothing was reported missing.
