Crime Log November 21 to December 4, 2023

 

Commercial Breaking & Entering

23068154: On 11/27/23 at approximately 2:02 AM, Somerville Police responded to a business on Alewife Brook Pkwy for an alarm call. They viewed surveillance video which showed, at 1:46 AM, a male party take a brick off the ground and throw it at the glass door, shattering it. Nothing was reported stolen.

Crime Log November 7 to November 13, 2023

Residential Breaking & Entering

23065027: On 11/9/23 at approximately 11:30 AM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Somerville Ave for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated copper pipe was stolen from his basement.

Crime Log October 31 to November 6, 2023

Assault

23063218: On 10/31/23 at approximately 7:17 PM, Somerville Police responded to 110 Governor Winthrop Rd for a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a juvenile female who stated she was trick or treating and was attacked by three juvenile males on bikes. 

Crime Log October 24 to October 30, 2023

Robbery 

23062864: On 10/29/23 at approximately 8:18 PM, Somerville Police responded to a business on Broadway for report of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the clerk who stated a male party entered the store and asked her how much cigarettes were. When she turned around, the male ran around the counter then brandished a small handgun and forced her to open the register. He took approximately $2300 USD and fled westbound on Broadway. 

Crime Report 10/29/2023

 

On Sunday, 10/29/23 around 14:08 hours, Somerville officers responded to Draw Seven Park in Assembly Row for a report of an altercation where the operator of a gray Mazda 6 flashed a firearm. Somerville officers located a parked vehicle matching the descriptions provided by the RP.  It was occupied by the operator, who also matched the provided description, and a passenger.  Given the park is Massachusetts State Police jurisdiction, MSP took control of the scene.  Inside the vehicle, they recovered two firearms, a large quantity of marijuana and small bags of a white powdery substance.  The two adult occupants, Khennith Ezra Bastien and Makai Vicente both of Charlestown were arrested by the MSP. 

 

On Sunday, 10/29/23 at 00:45 hours, SPD received a report of shots fired in the area of 299 Broadway.  Somerville Officers and State Police canvassed the area extensively and were unable to locate ballistic evidence.  Should anyone have additional information, please contact the SPD Criminal Investigation Division at 617.625.1600 ext 7220.
