Crime Log April 9 to April 15, 2024

Commercial Breaking & Entering

24020873: On 4/14/24 at approximately 9:18 PM, Somerville Police responded to a business in Union Sq for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers observed damage to the back of the store and the alarm disabled. An ATM machine inside was sawed open and the cash was stolen. Additionally, cash was stolen from two registers as well numerous cartons of cigarettes.

Crime Log April 2 to April 8, 2024

Robbery

24018664: On 4/2/24 at approximately 10:10 AM, Somerville Police responded to Davis Sq for report of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated while walking toward Statue Park, he was attacked by two males. The suspects then stole his wallet, and iPhone. One suspect was described as wearing blue jeans and the other dark colored sweatpants.

Crime Log March 26 to April 1, 2024

Assault

24017679: On 3/30/24 at approximately 7:03 PM, Somerville Police responded to Washington St for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a witness who stated he observed a female party swinging a cane at another woman. He then stated that he saw a vehicle pull up to them and a male and female exited. The male party then brandished a knife at the woman swinging the cane. The other females and the male then fled the area in the vehicle. Officers located and identified the woman with the cane. 

Crime Log March 19 to March 25, 2024

Assault

24015667: On 3/20/24 at approximately 3:30 PM, Somerville Police responded to Broadway for report of a past assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a juvenile victim who stated this morning while at school, he was attacked by four classmates. The victim suffered injuries to his face and knees.

Crime Log March 5 to March 18, 2024

Assault

24012770: On 3/7/24 at approximately 5:25 AM, Somerville Police responded to a business on Beacon St for report of a past assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he arrived for work and observed a male party attempting to break into the business. The victim confronted the male and another male then came up behind him and punched him in the face with brass knuckles. The victim suffered injuries to his eye.
