Crime Log April 16 to April 22, 2024

Assault

24021420: On 4/16/24 at approximately 6:01 PM, Somerville Police responded to Assembly Row for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he began talking with a group of young males and one of them brandished a knife at him.

Assault

24021388: On 4/16/24 at approximately 4:06 PM, Somerville Police responded to a business in Assembly Row for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who stated a group of juveniles entered the restaurant and began causing a disruption and throwing things around. The employee tried to remove the juveniles from the business and was pepper sprayed. Officers identified the juvenile suspects. 

Arrest

24021889: On 4/18/24 at approximately 6:21 PM, Somerville Police responded to a business on McGrath Hwy for report of a male with a knife. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he observed a group of males drinking. He approached them and told them to leave and one of the males brandished a knife and threatened to kill him. Officers located the suspect nearby and he was placed under arrest.

24022789: On 4/22/24 at approximately 6:32 PM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Centre St for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated a bicycle was stolen from his enclosed porch.

24022888: On 4/23/24 at approximately 9:01 AM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Princeton St for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated his electric scooter was stolen from a shed in his backyard.

24022497: On 4/21/24 at approximately 11:02 AM, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Dearborn Rd for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated his basement door was left unlocked and a backpack was missing.

Assault

24022568: On 4/21/24 at approximately 7:54 PM, Somerville Police responded to a business on Broadway for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who stated he was involved in an argument with a female. During the argument, the female brandished a sharp object at him. Officers located and identified the suspect.
